One of my old time favorites!! Almost everything is good but my favorite, of course, are their pancakes. Especially when you ask for them to be extra crispy on the edges.
The shopping area can be addicting so watch out lol. I'm serious, almost every time I go I always leave with something. I just can't help it! -

The Bottom Line---- Two stars is all I can give this Cracker Barrel, multiple fails and where they could have earned a higher rating, they did everything in their power to lay and egg (no one came to see how we were enjoying our meal, no one came to see what the problem was until the problem was 'A full grown adult' if you get my meaning) We've been in Tampa for over a year and we're just getting around to one of our favorite travel spots, Cracker Barrel... right off the bat they get a star for the speediness with seating us. Zero wait time!! #rockstarstatus for that! Our server's name is Brittany and she was friendly and personable... that's always a plus. Now the wait begins to see how long it takes for our food to come....
Okay, it's been nearly half an hour and we're seeing people who were seated and ordered after us being served they're food, I OFFICIALLY feel my blood starting to boil.
5 minutes later, our food arrives and my wife's blueberry pancakes tasted burned, my daughter's pancakes were served to her burned and the chicken...?? I waited all week to savor the Southern Fried Chicken and it was like holding a firecracker , No, a stick of dynamite in your hand and as the fuse finally burned away... no explosion, fireworks Nothing, flatline ________ no even the rapid busy signal you hear when a phone's been off the hook too long... Utterly disappointing, a colossal fail, an epic turd of monumental proportions . You can't make this stuff up.
On the plus side, the bacon baked beans and green beans I had as my side were very good. We waited over a year to visit this Cracker Barrel... I wish we'd kept right on waiting...
Brittany and the manager who assisted us were the stars in this review, other than that...
I've got nothing -

Our waitress was awesome xcellant!
This Cracker Barrell was an older one.
Tables needed refinishing.
Food was mediocre at best, hot but mediocre.
My husband got the chef's salad and they were out of turkey. It was a very small salad.
I chicken & dumplings and they were hot but bland -

As much as we'd all like to believe "all Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores are created equal". This slightly off the beaten path restaurant location is one of the first things that struck a different chord with me - it's several miles off the interstate highway system that's really out of character for this brand, secondly it was nearly empty at 8:00 AM, certainly the locals must like this restaurant chain as much as those of us traveling across this busy corridor. My curiosity was on high alert as I walked towards the familiar front doors past the rocking chairs and giant checker board sitting atop a half cut whiskey barrel. The country store looked the same and the smell of potpourri choked me like it normally does as I tried to hold my breath and maneuver through the merchandise while making my way to the small hostess station on the far left of the store right past the registers.
No waiting today folks, it seems this place is immaculately clean and there's plenty of open tables throughout the dining area, but of course they try and bunch everyone up for some reason they only understand - I really don't need to seated adjacent to a bunch of screaming, crying kids when I come here and when ninety percent of the restaurant is empty but then again I wouldn't of wanted to miss the opportunity to have Bucephelus Bodean as my server - this guy blew his tip at hello. He felt the need to transverse the entire empty restaurant with a half empty pot of coffee on his tray before realizing everyone was gathered in one tiny area and that he hadn't yet asked me if I wanted a cup.
Well it only gets better but I'll present the shorter less interesting version, he came back twice to verify my order even though he wrote it down believe me there is nothing special about the double meat breakfast that requires that much attention and after getting it, it's apparent that the cook was impressed less with our server than we were I hate cold eggs. I left a cash tip that I'm sure made his day because that's just the way I am, it was more out of sympathy than a reward or out of appreciation - you know the drill I walked back into the store to pay for breakfast with cash and the girl at the register asked it I wanted to leave Bucephelus a tip, being a little intimidated by the question I said sure "tell him to find a job that requires a lesser skill set"... -

This is not the best location for Cracker Barrel, because I love this store and the biscuits and gravy. But, ... every time I go to this location I have some sort of problem. Last time we were charged double for biscuits and gravy and this time I can not return shoes with a receipt. They told me that I could always return them if I changed my mind and no worries, but I can't return them here. So I will be going to any one of the other million locations
